About signing the Agreement on cooperation between IAC and FMBA of Russia

In order to reduce the spread of diseases that pose a threat to the life and health of passengers of civil aircraft and their crews, as well as to restore the volume of air traffic, on April 28, 2021 the Agreement was signed between the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) and Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA of Russia) on cooperation aimed at interaction between specialists of both organizations not only at preventing further spread of new coronavirus infection but at a wide range of issues connected with public health in civil aviation.

Currently the IAC actively cooperates with a range international organizations (ICAO, IATA, IFALPA, etc.) in the field of CAPSCA  (Collaborative Arrangement for the Prevention and Management of Public Health Events in Civil Aviation) programme implemented by ICAO with the support of World Health Organization. The set of measures in this area of work will enable to develop a common pandemic strategy, make international civil air transport operations as safe as possible in the context of COVID-19 pandemic.

The value of health and safety of aircraft crew members and passengers has always been an absolute priority for the IAC as independent international organization. We believe that such a collaborative multidisciplinary approach will help not only preserve our future but also make it comfortable, safe and healthy.
