Chairman of the Interstate aviation committee (IAC) Oleg Storchevoy took part in the award ceremony for graduates of 2024 at the Ulyanovsk Institute of Civil Aviation named after the Chief Marshal of Aviation B. P. Bugaev

On July 5, 2023, Chairman of the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) Oleg Storchevoy took part in the award ceremony for graduates of 2024 at the Ulyanovsk Institute of Civil Aviation named after the Chief Marshal of Aviation B. P. Bugaev (UICA).

Words of advice and congratulations to the graduates were heard from the rector of the institute, Evgeniy Smolnikov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Kononov, and other honored guests of the event.

When presenting diplomas, the Chairman of the IAC congratulated the teachers and cadets of the Civil Aviation Institute on their graduation and wished them thoughtful and informed decisions in the future, success and new conquered heights.

In addition, the ceremony was attended by honored guests from the Federal Air Transport Agency, Rostransnadzor, Government of the Ulyanovsk region, airlines, federal and local government bodies, public organizations, veterans, parents of graduates, cadets and employees of the Civil Aviation Administration.

The graduates thanked the management and all employees of the UI GA for the knowledge received and for the acquired competencies and skills.

In total, in the 2023/2024 academic year, 445 certified specialists completed their training at the Civil Aviation Institute, of which 26% of the cadets were excellent students. In order to improve their professional knowledge, 34 students defended their diploma in English. Among the graduates are two scholarship holders of the Government of the Russian Federation: pilot Igor Klirikov and quality management specialist Inna Lukashik. Also in the Class of 2024 there are two holders of scholarship named after P.P. Melnikova: Grigory Kachkaev and Yulia Kolesnikova.

Ulyanovsk Institute of Civil Aviation named after the Chief Marshal of Aviation B. P. Bugaev was established on the basis of the Ulyanovsk Higher Civil Aviation School in 1935. The Institute is the oldest educational institution in Russia for training flight personnel for civil aviation. It provides training for specialists in higher education programs (bachelor's, specialist's, master's) and mid-level specialists in the field of flight operation of aircraft, technical operation of aircraft, air traffic control and other aviation specialists. It has three branches in the cities of Omsk, Krasny Kut and Sasovo.
