Seminar “New Trends in Pilot Training”

In the period 24-25 April 2018 “New Trends in Pilot Training” Seminar was held in the Interstate Aviation Committee within the framework of the realization of the ICAO/IAC Project RER/01/901 “Development of Operational Safety and Continuing Airworthiness”. The participants of the seminar included representatives of ICAO, IAC, AIRBUS and more than 100 aviation specialists from the CAAs, airlines and training organizations from the Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Republic of Moldova, Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Ukraine and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

         Following subjects were discussed during the Seminar:

         - Innovative approaches to pilot training, including resilience, as well as evidence based training (EBT);

         - Energy management and manual flight – take off procedures, cruise, landing procedures;

         - Unreliable air speed, overspeed and speed decay;

         - LOC-I (loss of control);

         - Airbus approach to UPRT (upset and recovery training);

         - Operational recommendations for approach, landing technics and go around.

         The discussion of EFB/eQRH Operational approval also aroused great interest of the listeners.
